Terms of Service

Last updated · August 29, 2026

By accessing or using Steeple ("the Service"), operated by Steeple ("we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

Steeple is a church management platform that helps churches process connect cards, manage prayer requests, coordinate volunteers, and integrate with church management systems. The Service is provided on a software-as-a-service basis.

Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

Church Data Ownership

Your church retains full ownership of all data entered into Steeple, including member information, connect cards, prayer requests, and any other content. We do not claim ownership of your data. You may export or delete your data at any time by contacting us.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: attempting to access another organization's data, interfering with the Service's operation, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Service Limits

Steeple caps how many submissions one church can take in a day. The caps sit far above anything a real Sunday produces and are not there to ration your ministry. They are one of several protections on these forms rather than a guarantee on their own, so if you are being targeted, tell us and we will help.

  • Digital connect cards — up to 5,000 a day per church, covering your Steeple-hosted form, the form embedded on your website, and your church's own connect page.
  • Your website's contact form — up to 200 a day per church, counted separately, so a busy website can never use up the allowance your Sunday cards depend on.

Submissions we identify as spam are held separately for your review and do not count toward these limits. If a limit is reached, the person submitting is told plainly that the day's limit was reached and asked to try again tomorrow. Limits reset at midnight UTC. Scanned paper cards are not capped. If your church legitimately needs more, contact us and we will raise it.

Multi-Tenant Isolation

Each church organization's data is logically isolated within our system. We implement strict access controls to ensure that one organization cannot access another organization's data.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steeple shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, we will make your data available for export for 30 days, after which it may be permanently deleted.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the email associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
